I would like to add some different fonts to my Works word processor thingy.

I have found a web site where you can download them but I dont know how to use them once they are on my machine.

A file appears on my desk top and thats it. It wont do anything. When I go to open it up there are some pictures of the font and nothing else.

Any help would be great.

p.s. The font Im looking for in particular is I think called Gill sans and was the one Sheffield Transport used for years on their trams and buses but I cant find it! Does any one know where I can get it?

I can't remember where they go, but if you use explorer to find all the files of that type, you can move them in there :thumbsup:

(well I think that's how I got mine to work :) )

Try fonts.com for extra fonts hj, i wouldn't know how to load them onto your pc though (mac user) but someone will tell you on here.

Just copy them into your fonts folder in c:\windows\

If you have XP - it should auto install them for you when you try and drag the font/copy the font into the fonts folder.

Not sure about the other versions of windows but, give it a try :)

Hiya, Just open your control panel/fonts and then drag the font into the font folder. My wife is a font freak and she is in a group that sends the members a pack of new fonts every week.
If you want the name of the group I will ask her and she will mail it to you .The fonts are automatically in your word processer once they are loaded into the fonts folder.
If you don't fancy installing them, you can minimise them to your task bar and use them from there.
pm me if you want to know the group.
