Hi there,

I have 3 laptops that are in need of repair:

1 has a faulty power connector (battery is fine) but I think the motherboard needs soldering

1 Has a crack on the screen case and thus has intermittent power on problems

1 has a faulty motherboard and does not power on at all

I was wonderding if anyone either knew of somewhere in sheffield that might repair them or if anyone here could repair them??

What make and models are they??
Soldering one should be quite easy but it is time consuming so depends what specification it is as to if it is worth it.
Crack on the screen case should not effect it switching on.
Faulty motherboard? Could also be the processor or RAM.

What make and models are they all? Some are easier to work on that others.. If it's something I have never seen before it's going to take longer to strip down than if it's one I am familiar with. more info rqd on makes and models and more info on the faults if possible. Any error lights etc?
