Does anyone know why eating hot & spicy food makes you sweat?

Because it increases your body temperature.

I've found that most places will 'spice' your curry up for you if you ask. Do you just want a mega bum-burner or decent food and decent surroundings too?
Personally i like Seven Spices on Shalesmoor.

well, it has to be hot, but enjoyable. Madrass is too weak, and vindaloo isnt too briliant either, but a step closer to what i want. is there a step above vindaloo, that doesnt burnout your tastebuds?

The internet would suggest that "phal" or "phall" is the hottest restaurant curry. This is, however, a British invention to satisfy those who would want chilliness more than flavour.

You could always take along your own chilli sauce to fire up your favourite flavour of curry.
The problem of asking the kitchen to "fire-up" your curry is that they will either be reluctant to do it as the chef will not want to spoil a good curry, or be worried about you not liking it when he has done it.
Or they may overdo it and make it unpalatable.

quite a lot of places do chicken chilli which can be *very* hot. Its hotter than some places vindaloos, and milder than some other places vindaloos. So depends where you go. I cant recommend anywhere since it is in manchester I used to eat these!
