i have an epson stylus photo R300 printer and my black is blocked i have tried and wasted numerous new cartridges but it will not clear does anyone know anywhere i can buy a inkjet cleaner from or any advice please:(

Epson actually make a head cleaning cartridge (not cheap) but I would suggest trying this first:

I had a similar problem with my 5 year old Epson photo stylus 870 which hadn't been used for some weeks.
I took it to the local computer shop who failed to cure the problem.
He told me that it needed a new print head and it just wasn't worth the cost of repair.
He recommended another printer which he said you could get on the net for a reasonable price!

As I don't use this newEpson every day, I now run a nozzle check every so often to keep the heads clear.
I know it wastes ink but it's cheaper than buying a new print head

this printer is used almost every day the problem arose when i used a black cartridge that wasn't epsom make ,was trying to cut down on price when buying 6 cartridges it was pretty expensive each time but it seems i made an expensive mistake.

Thanks for that warning Cazza.
I bought a R800 and the 8 cartridges cost almost half the price of a new printer in the box.:gag:

some of the cheaper ones i found to be great i have used them in my other printer but the ones that caused the problem were
