looks a good service but you need a gmail account to use. If you need a gmail account PM and ill send you one over.

i tried google talk, it's fine, and google seem to be going for internet world domination or something so i'm sure it will improve quickly, but for the moment i'll stick to skype and msn.

I agree, it's a saturated market, and this doesn't seem to have got too many people excited with the 3 big players already there.

At least they are using an existing, open protocol (jabber).

so what makes this 1 stand out from all the rest? i mean msn is so packed full of features i cant really see what is left to offer.

MSN is crap for voice chat IMO, and not that good for webcams either..

Google Talk and Skype excel in both these areas.

I'll stick to Trillian for the minute i think.
I've not tried GoogleTalk yet but I'm told that it is pretty poor at this stage. No doubt it'll become much better in the next release :)
