Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone knows how to get their blog indexed on google?

I've submitted mine, yet when I search for it, it doesn't appear??

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Submitting to Google can be a bit "hit 'n miss".

You'd be better getting a popular site that is already spidered by Google, to put a link on their site to yours. This way, your site will get spidered when the other site is (non reciprocal links are Googles best way of finding new sites).

Thanks guys

I've never had a problem with getting sites listed before infact the last big commercial site I built: www.morecomputers.co.uk

I learned loads about SEO I just wasn't sure what the deal was with blogger... and with google owning blogger

Will just have to pop the blog in my sig on more forums and sit tight and wait

It's not really hit and miss if you know the google dance, only submit once, google will come along at some point, but when? could be ages!

Check out : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&rls=GGLD%2CGGLD%3A2004-30%2CGGLD%3Aen&q=%22Free+Tech+Support+Forum+with+Hardware%22

This is my new forum, which is indexed, but at this time doesnt get a lot of search traffic, because it's still in google's sandbox.

By far the quickest way to get into Google is by getting an IBLs from other sites that are listed in google. The higher its page rank, the better. But once it is listed, leave it be, don't resubmit, once google come around, it will always come back, and the more often your site is updated, the more frequent it will return and add new pages.

Whats the address of your blog? Ill have a look at it for ya if you like!

Just by using Site: and link: on google.

Your not indexed yet, so not even "sand boxed". I think google prefers to find a site rather than to be given a site, I thinkthe add url form is just a way to stop the myriads of emails asking "how do i submit my site?"

It's now 12.15pm 26th August.

Ive just added a small text link from my home page to your blog. Lets see what happens :D

Submit your url at technorati.com/ping/

A good way to get on google this way was to link to

http://www.sheffnet.net

My old site was 'googleable' (new word :hihi: ) within two weeks of reciprocal linking :)

I'm having trouble with one of mine, in that google only finds the links page, despite this page containing nothing from the search options......
