Anyone know anything about this odd occurence, It was in the afternoon and it circled overhead for about 15-20 mins, really low as well, not a common occurance in Ecclesall.

I'm just nosy so any info would be good! :)

Out doing police stuff I assume.

We should rename this place 'seeing the police helicopter and creating loads of pointless threads about it forum'.

That is all.

Perhaps there may have been a crime in Ecclesall.

If so it will surely be the lead item on the national news tomorrow morning, so I'd hold your horses until then. :D

I've not merged in case the two incidents are seperate, but for reference the other thread is here:

No, the helicopter was flying over Ecclesall, not Ecclesall Road. I saw it after returning home from work, it must've been at around 4 to 4.30pm, and appeared to be flying around the Dobbin Hill/ Falkland Road area of Ecclesall and did about 5 full circles very low down. As nslack says it's not a common occurance around here in sleepy suburbia. I'd be interested to find out what it was all about.

Definitely separate. For one the 2 incidents are about 2 miles apart and for another one happened in the afternoon and one happened tonight.
