I know what the left clicker on my mouse is for,but I have never used the right clicker, and I have to do something that involves this. Can anyone tell me what this is used for, and what one right click is for,and two right clicks.

Second query : If I want to download a photo sent to me by E Mail,Which clicker do I use, right or left and how many times do I click ?

Third query : I use dial up service so cant use my phone when on the computer. If I am downloading something and need to close my computer down, because the phone is ringing,What will happen to the photo that I was previously downloading ?

Left click is generally highlight and select. Right click usually gives you extra options. For example if you highlight some text with left-click, right-click (henceforth known as RC) gives you options of copy, cut, paste etc. One RC generally opens up the little window of options, whereas a second RC closes it again.

Remember, practice makes perfect!

To answer your third query, using a program like DOWNLOAD ACCELLERATOR will allow you to resume any big downloads if you have to come off the phone.

Tell us what e-mail programme that you use.

If the photo is seen in the body of the e-mail and you right-click on it, you should see various save/copy options.

If you go up to the 'File' part of the top menu on Outlook, you will see "save attachments".

I use Outlook Express, and just part of the photo comes at the bottom of the E Mail.I guess I am only seeing about one quarter of the photo,You actually answered something that I was also wondering about ,and that was saving the photo.I keep getting a message saying "Some pictures have been blocked to stop the sender gaining access to your computer.Click here to download" Im not quite sure what to do?Do I click on the photo or on the message?and would this be a right or left click, and one or two clicks ?

All of the actions by "clicking" can be reversed by hitting "Esc"!

If Windows XP has got security settings to stop you downloading then you have to click on the message to start giving permission to download the picture.

What time is best for me to come round and start these tutorials???

when you right click various menu options appear depending on what you right click on.

i right click on everything, its my most used way of doing stuff.

right clicking in folders i can create more folders, copy, paste, cut things.
if you click on pictures you can save them, click on website addresses and you can copy the address link rather than a straight copy, which would copy just the written text......loads of things

Just been clicking on my photo. As part of the photo was showing already, didnt have to download it,just right clicked on it,and it suddenly came up ,whole. Also followed your advice on how to SAVE it. I wonder why we have to download some things, and others we have to just right click on.Computers never fail to amaze me, and thanks everyone. You clever people.
