i cleared everything in firefox privacy settings to speed some things up. now http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/245/firefoxpass2gc.gif (http://imageshack.us)
keeps showing up everytime i load up a browser window or visit a link or url. anyone know a fix?

I'm guessing you've wiped some forum cookies or some such.
Try logging out and logging back in.
If you can remember your password of course :)

but its literlly every site, even my home page (which is blank) makes this dialoge pop up.
Ah OK. Hmmmmm.
To be honest I don't know. Maybe it is something to do with the 'Master Password' - did you have it set before?

I would either perform a system restore (XP) or reinstall Firefox.

Best advice given thus far.
I had an "odd" FF issue the other day, in that it would not start up, under any circumstances - after rebootin & in safe mode. All I did is re-install over the top of itself & all was good again;)/

ok thryed installing again, still the same problem.
im doing a full format tonite anyway, ive got a pretty nasty case of spyware that spybot, adaware or spyware doc cant even get rid of :(
whilst this is a convo change i didnt feel the need to post another topic.
does anyone know if i can scan my computer for the windows updates, and batch download them all to save downloading them again after a format?

Most of them can be dlownloaded for updating a network.
Searching for either "Redistributable", "Redist" or "Network install" on thte MS UD site should offer some help;).
