I know there are many of us around here but I know some members do use the Crookes Valley parks.
I took Bubble for a walk tonight (on her lead, as she's still healing from her op) and as we were walking along, two guys came onto the park with two offlead dogs, one was an akita, the other a little terrier x.
I was actually training Bubble but that didn't stop them allowing their dogs upto us (they couldn't actually stop them, as they had no control over them whatsoever) and the akita came over to say hi.
Oe of the guys kept shouting, 'it's ok love, he's only a pup' - his behaviour didn't worry me at all actually.
Then the little terrier x came running up, straight up to Bubble, and snapped in her face, as I moved Bubble away, she kept following snarling. As she did so, her owner said 'oh don't let her near yours, she'll bite anything that one'
Had it not been for the fact I'm not very well and therefore not very sharp, I'd have told him to get her on a lead then but I didn't as I was mainly in shock.
So please watch out for these - according to the owner, the terrier is nasty and will bite anything and yet he doesn't keep her on a lead. If you see them, I suggest walking the other way!
