I have been told by someone who is disabled and entitled to a car because of this that because she cannot drive herself she can nominate a person to drive for her and if this person has not got a full licence ie. passed his test, then the mobility section will pay for him to have driving lessons and take his test so that eventually he will be able to drive her about in her car. Is this true?
phone the mobility then you will know for definate
Not sure about a nominated person, but I know the disabled person can get help with lesson but they need to be under 25
A friend of ours did have a nominated driver who had the car for them, so tis possible.
