I have a HP 950 printer and a HP pc but when I print off my pictures the tones are a completely different colour to the pictures I have on the pc.
For example I printed off a sunflower pic but the pale yellow part on the petal came out pale green instead. The dark yellow seems ok but not an exact match.
How do you sort this problem out?
Have you checked your cartridges? maybe some of the ink is low, but not completley run out?
Exact colours are made by mixing 3 different colours together. If one or more of the colours has run out then you'll get an incorrect mix of colours and therefore the wrong shade.
I had the same problem with my old camera. Every picture had a blue tinge to it that i had to remove in Photoshop before printing.
I never did find out what caused it

Run a print check utility to see if any nozzles are blocked.
If needed run head cleaning to get a clear print.
Check your screen colours to match your printer from within your graphics software.

The ink is fine I already checked it.
How do you check the screen colour match the printer?
If you are using photoshop there should be a monitor colour calibration application, so that what you see on the screen iswhat you get from the printer.
try this link for an explanation.

Don't forget that monitors use primary colours of red, green & blue (light). Inkjet printers tend to be magenta, blue and yellow (paint).
If you right click anywhere on your desktop, click PROPERTIES then the SETTINGS tab then the ADVANCED button.
Then click the COLOR MANAGEMENT tab and get hold of the correct colour profile for your monitor or printer.

Print a test page. This will print a small block of each of the 3 colours.
