are they banned? If there were some good quality ones down there it'd really add to the environment i reckon.

View Full Version : Street performers in Tudor Square Pook 23-08-2005, 15:00 are they banned? If there were some good quality ones down there it'd really add to the environment i reckon. Pook 24-08-2005, 10:07 are you all allergic to my post or something? I'm thinking like they have in covent garden, or other major cities... Talented performers would really liven up Charter Square IMO RobertChiat 24-08-2005, 10:16 my guess is that Charter Square isn't a very good location for street performers. too much traffic, and not many pedestrians to stop and watch them. Having said that, i regularly see buskers on Barkers Pool, even though its currently a noise building site, and no one can hear them playing! Pook 24-08-2005, 10:19 sorry, what's the place out the front of the crucible? Herbaliser 24-08-2005, 11:24 Tudor Square. Would be much better than Charter Square for busking. :) Pook 24-08-2005, 11:26 mods.... please change this thread so i don't look like a fool. Siān 24-08-2005, 11:38 MOD: title altered :) Hook 24-08-2005, 13:18 I love Tudor Sq. especially sitting outside at Ruskins. Some street entertainment would be good, but only if they're decent and not begging for money. I think everytime I've ever sat outside there's been at least one tramp come up begging for money, always with the same story. designbunny 24-08-2005, 18:16 i think it worked really well for the recent Sheffield-on-Sea event. Tudor Sq was filled with entertainment & the performers were very good, great for kids. It was nice to see the space being used for something Tony45 24-08-2005, 20:17 Couldn't agree more. I would also love to see the Theatres putting on performance in the Square. A bit of Shakespeare performed in the Square during the Summer evenings would be fantastic. |
