Looking to move to Sheffield to one of the above areas. I want the low down of the areas, which are bad......why? What are the police like, is crime high? Are there any active tenant's groups who work in the communities? are there any particular streets to stay away from? etc etc

cheers for that, i was over in Woodthorpe the other week and it looked quite nice. is the crime really just kids messing around or is it a bit more serious?

With Woodthorpe, it really does depend on what part of the estate you're on. We have very little trouble on our side (closer to the Intake end of Woodhouse Road) whereas other parts of the estate have quite a big problem with crime.

Saying that, some of the lovely young fellows from one of the other areas of the estate came and paid our area a visit with an air pistol yesterday. We've got a window to repair now. Just glad no one was in the room at the time, as there's glass everywhere. :(

I live on Wybourn myself. Its an average area. Nothing special, but no trouble or crime as far as I have been here.
