Come on, Sarah Cox, be honest, does anyone like her / find her entertaining?? I personally do not understand why she is on the radio. I was sat in the park Sunday and she was on Radio 1 and she is awful. Her voice, her attempts to be funny, she is just rubbish.

Anyway, I have set up a poll.
:D

I think she's very lovely (looking)

Although, one wonders why this is necessary for female radio presenters.

A candidate for Timo's slappability thread, methinks.

I really really can't stand her. Her voice, her looks, her sense of humour i.e not at all funny, she squeaks, she wines, her stories are crap, she says eeerrrr all the bloody time and she should be taken out and shot.

I never normally feel this way about anyone. I always try to see the good in people - but for her I make an exception.

Her voice makes me want to chew the skin off my arms.

3 words to describe S.Cox - annoying, unfunny and thick. :gag:

Few, I was getting worried. Seemed to be far to many people selecting the 'she is OK' option. I am with you on this one Lee, I generally don't dislike anyone but she is the exception.
Lets burn her!

Timo has already made a few hilarious comments about her somewhere else on the forum. He said something about her voice resembling an African click language which had me spewing tea all over my keyboard.

I used to like her on the "Girly show", but I have not heard her on the radio. What I liked about her was her thick northern accent and her womanly curves. I liked how she was on TV as a presenter despite being "not skinny" She seemed normal to me.

She is very annoying, I don't think she'll be on Radio One for much longer.

I'll tell you what I would rather have her (Cox) than Zoe Ball any day of the week, she (Ball) has the most grating voice and annoying style I've ever heard, she hasn't any recognisable talent and wasn't clever enough to even put her own CDs on.

Does everyone else prefer Cox or Balls?

Don't get me wrong, I would rather listen to the wonderful voice of Lucinder Lambton any day of the week, now there's a thought.

Now Muddy, you admit to having never heard her on the radio. Honestly, give her a try on Sunday afternoon and you will be begging for Zoe to come back!

Is that Lucinda's Indian half sister? :P

Sara Cox is alright, fun to talk to and struck me as being pretty intelligent.

Sara Cox and her curves....:suspect: She was a stick insect on the 'Girlie Show'....remember that section W***** of the Week!!...:hihi:

Last time I saw a piccy of her in a mag she was still a stick insect...sure you not referring to a time when she was 9 mths pregnant Muddy???? :suspect:

I don't mind her to be truthful....but Sara Cawood has always been better IMO!!

Poor lass... we were discussing her on the forum a couple of years ago, and nobody could stand her back then either!

Chris Moyles to replace Sara Cox (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?postid=35186)

I hope you voted, and less of the poor lass rubbish. NOBODY that annoying should be on daytime radio unless it's Hallam FM or something!

I really like Ms Cox actually. And strangely enough her accent is one of the things I really like about her.. ! She sounds like a good honest northern lass!

I find her sense of humour really amusing and I like how she is with people on the radio unlike Colin and Edith who are annoying and scott mills who just sounds like a crap local radio presenter with a chip on his shoulder..

Give me Coxy anyday!

I find very few DJs particularly entertaining, and Ms Cox certainly isn't one of them. Although she is not bottom of my list. Zoe Ball is particularly annoying - I feel she has only had the success she has because of who her father and husband are. I also have an intense dislike of Jo "I think I'm so cool" Wiley - I don't know if it's me, but she comes across as quite arrogant, pretentious, and greatly exaggerates the "I'm so laid back I might fall asleep" attitude. I think Fearne Cotton is heading into similar territory at the moment.

Hmmm, I'm torn on this one.

While I quite fancy her, and think she makes some good gags now and again, I have to concede that when she used to do the breakfast show on radio one, it was rather like being woken up by someone attempting to pass an angle-grinder through a skip filled with gravel and agitated dogs - right next to my head.

Also her "ladette" persona annoys me, though there are far worse exponents of it.

As Damon said earlier, Cox has been covered on my 'Slappable face' thread. In all honesty, I have yet to meet anyone who has a good word to say for the broadcasting ability of Sarah Cox. She is apparently from Lancashire farming stock, which surprises me greatly as they are usually such splendid people with their charming 'luke ear mutha, I seh luke ear' accents and open, Anglo-Saxon features. Cox is the most appalling oafess and slattern, with an absolutely disgusting, mangled way of speaking. I think I originally described her voice as sounding something like a distressed Corncrake, and the content as resembling the bizarre click-language of the Kalahari Bushmen. She has an unpleasant, untrustworthy expression too, rather like some snide checkout girl in a small branch of an unfashionable supermarket.

Echoing the sentiments of the originator of this thread, I too am incredulous at her success. I also find it hard to believe that any sane television or radio executive would hire such a moronic, charmless young woman. Even Lancastrians cannot understand a word the woman is saying. At this point the possibility that nobody, save Cox herself, actually understands what she is saying crosses my mind. Could this be true? 'Way, I,er , Radio'ead's single like gerroff, er yeah right! Come on, like, er where was, er later tonight I'll, yeah, Coldplay' must mean something to someone, mustn't it? They are in the minority, that is all.

I used to listen to Zoe Ball on the Radio 1 breakfast show and thought she was quite funny. Then when she left to have her baby and Sarah Cox took over I didn't think I would enjoy the show as much, but did get to really enjoy it, she did come out with some very witty remarks which used to make me smile on my way to work in the morning. Eventually I did get bored with the format and stopped tuning in. I now listen to Terry Wogan on Radio 2!

If you don't like her, don't suffer her, retune to something else.

I find Sarah Montague (Today prog, Radio 4) a right tease.

She's almost conspiratorial. Lovely laugh, gorgeous voice. Can't get enough.

Do you remember when she used to be on TV and she was caught on camera swearing?

Her story was that she was asking for 'Four coffees'!

Great woman.

She covered Jo Whiley's show recently and although nowhere near Jo's standards she was fairly bearable. I think it's because she was being more serious. When she tries to be funny she's just as annoying as hell.
