Does anyone have any info/memories of the Alexandra Pub at the junction of Carlisle Street and Scott Street?
My late father lived next door as a child and I can remember seeing it derelict before it was pulled down in the 80s I think.
Would be great if anyone has any photos.

I remember calling in there for a pint whilst working long night shifts on the furnaces in the steelworks.

Some nights there was a group of lads from Firth Brown's who had formed a percussion band.

As soon as a track was played on the juke box they started up an accompaniment.

It was a great laugh and if you were feling a bit down these lads certainly cheered you up.

Does anybody remember them?
