Deavon 23-08-2005, 00:09 I understand there is a third installment on it's way. "To infinity... and beyond!". My favourite character was the nervous Dinasour. I loved him. Shiesh 23-08-2005, 00:10 I still have all the toys don't you Jon??? :heyhey: absynthfairy 23-08-2005, 08:54 I was working at the disney store the christmas they released all the toys - 2000 people trying to get a buzz lightyear on a saturday morning - that was fun!!! fights and all sorts! Hardly the spirit of disney.... Damon 23-08-2005, 10:13 I think Toy Story and its sequel remain Pixar's high points (although they have set the bar so high when it comes to script and character development that most of their films outclass any other kids' stuff coming from the Hollywood 'school'). The Incredibles runs them pretty close, but in the end, the central concept of Toy Story and the way they executed it is just sublime. I adore the bit in Toy Story 2 when Woody first discovers all the merchandise featuring himself in the toy collector's house. It's a real epiphany moment, and one that never fails to bring a lump to my throat. The fact that you don't really think of Toy Story in terms of its animation or its effects, but rather in terms of its amazing characters, says it all I reckon. |
