I read on *cough*another forum*cough* (I'm sorry! PLEASE don't ban me!) that there is a way of legally aquiring a free Sky+ box.. I can't remember all the details but would anyone here know what I'm on about?

I'm thinking of getting a Sky+ box to tape stuff off Sky so that I don't have to fill up my hard drive and regularly leave my PC on overnight to use my WinTV capture card to tape late night wrestling PPVs and shows or other stuff off Sky.

I know you can get away with not having to pay a monthly subscription to the service if you subscribe to 2 or more of the Premium channels such as Sky Movies or Sky Sports, which I do, cos I got everything when I had Sky installed about 5 years ago, Movies, Sports, Cartoon channels, the lot all for about 30 quid a month, the only thing we don't get are the porn channels, but neither I or anyone else in the family have any interest in them so we didn't need them (And no, I am not gay, I just don't have any interest in porn).

Anyway back to the original topic, is there any way of aquiring a free Sky+ box legally?

Erm - I dont think you can get a free one fella :)
I know the price has come down to £99 for the basic sky+ system which I've got.

If you can get one though mate- DO IT!
You will never look back after having sky+

You need to be signed up for either all the movie channels or all the sports channels for the monthly sky+ free to be dropped.. otherwise I think its £10-£15 a month to be able to record with the sky box.

I've PM'd you as well mate.. have a read and see what you think like :)

Hmm, only £99 for the Sky+ box.. Could be worth a look after the Holiday in September and after I've paid for the tickets to RAW at the Arena in November.

I've read and replied to your PM as well :)
