This story is so rediculous I find it hard to believe.

So I repeat, Courtney Love, the Widow of Grunge Superstar Kurt Cobain from Nirvana, and Former Lead Singer from Hole, and now Addict and Actress, has been bedded by Steve Coogan the real life persona of Alan Partridge and Paul Calf!

Apparently she is furious with herself for allowing him to persuade her to let him use no protection. Could you just imagine their accents of the things thay would have said while in the sack! :hihi: :heyhey: :gag:

Courtney is losing the plot.

WILD woman of rock Courtney Love sensationally revealed last night that she is pregnant by Alan Partridge star Steve Coogan.


Approached in Los Angeles by the News of the World, she confirmed: "Yes, I am pregnant with Steve's baby."


Courtney, widow of Nirvana legend Kurt Cobain, discovered her shock news just three days ago through a home pregnancy kit.


The baby was conceived during her two-week, drug-fuelled sex fling with British comedian Coogan in LA when they were both staying at the famous Sunset Marquis hotel in West Hollywood.


Courtney told us: "I'd rather not talk about our relationship."

But we can reveal Coogan's demands in the bedroom were a world away from the stuffy antics of his blazer-wearing spoof chat show host.

She is reported to be angry that she allowed Coogan to talk her in to having unprotected sex. She's an adult, for goodness sake. She is experienced enough, one would hope, to realise that you stand a good chance of getting pregnant by having unprotected sex.

I am really concerned for her, actually. In my mind's eye I keep seeing a repeat of the Paula Yates tragedy.

But she does have a child that has already lost one parent.

As for her being the cause of Cobain's death - well, he was the one who pulled the trigger and he had the money to walk away. I may sound very harsh but I have little time for someone who thinks so little of his kid that he blows his brains out.

I feel sorry for Frances.. imagine having Courtney for a mum!? The SHAME! It was bad enough that her Dad shot himself..

Courtney should have bucked her ideas up at that point and concentrated on being a good mum.. she's a reasonably good actress and for a while she was this glamourous drug free movie star... but the drugs and chaos soon crept back in... She's just a car crash personality and will always be that way...

I went to a Hole gig at the Octagon when Live Thru This came out and it was the best gig I've ever been to... I love "America's Sweetheart" and "Live through this" would be my desert island disc... but I think she's a freak!

I bet she did sleep with Steve Coogan.. all I can say is she must be desperate... ick!

Courtney wasn't the reason Kurt shot himself.. he was messed up beyond belief even without any outside influences...

There was a history of mental health problems and suicide in the family.. he had a heavy drug habit.. didn't want the fame he'd been so desperate to achieve and his stomach condition and lifestyle made him miserable...

Courtney is just as messed up.. but I don't think if Kurt had gone out with some model citizen that he could have been 'saved' and I don't think Courtney made matters worse. Kurt used to disappear off to drug dens on his own.

Kurt had many long term health and mental problems. You don't know what you're talking about if you blame Courtney.

Agree with this Joe, her Career with Hole was based upon portraying herself as a victim.
And some were so good that there were loads of rumors about how Kurt had actually written them but I don't believe this.

Her behaviour and intake of things has been incredibly self destructive over the last decade, she goes from court room to rehab constantly.

I think the thing that will save Courtney from killing herself like Kurt or Paula is her guts.

She has a strong will to survive and drag herself out of whatever hole she's got herself into... and she loves being famous and all the attention far too much..

Kurt's mental problems started way before he bumped into Ms Love. I think rather than making it worse, he found in Courtney someone who at least understood him.

I don't think anyone would dispute that she's got her own mental health problems.. try reading Poppy z Brites book on Courtney - theres alot of reasons she's turned out the way she is.

I don't think she's famous on the back of others. Hole was a respected Riot girl band before the Kurt connection and in her less messy moments she's a great leadsinger for an excellent rock band.. I love her grit and determination and admire her FU attitude... she wouldn't be as interesting if she was some Apple Pie and Cookies Mom...

Fair enough she doesn't know when to stop, she needs to stay off the illegal substances and look after Frances some more... and alot of her work is collaborative (but alot of artists work that way).... she's not perfect but who wants perfect rock stars? (see the Bill Hicks sketch about rock stars..)

I hope she drags herself up out of the mire again and sorts herself out.. sooner or later she'll maybe get older and wiser... you never know..

I would be amazed if this story turned out to be true. I wouldn't have thought Courtney would give Steve Coogan a second glance.

And I agree with what Anne23 says. Above all else Courtney is a survivor - she's a strong woman, she's had to be. And very talented - it's just a shame her 'carcrash' personality and status as 'professional widow' has overshadowed that.

She makes me cringe sometimes, but I can't help admiring her guts.

Sorry to be pedantic about this Joe, but what you say implies that Kurt would somehow be shocked and appalled by his widow's actions. This ignores two facts:

1) The Yoko Ono of Grunge has bedded any number of drugged-out losers since Kurt's death. Steve Coogan can only be a major step up for her

2) When alive, Cobain cared little about anything other than where his next fix was coming from. I suspect that who his widow slept after his death with would be very low on his list of priorities.

I've just sat chuckling in the office with an image of Coogan on the final thrust triumphantly saying "Back of the net!!"
