Hi,
I seem to remember it being a crisp factory behind the house. I don't know if the people who lived in the house had anything to do with the factory!

Is this the place? I remember some years ago it was a wines and spirits wholesalers. They kept a a few large vans at the back. I believe these would deliver to pubs and clubs. They also did all the other bits like crisps nuts scratchings etc.

I think that is what Rudeboy meant ? Question is how long has the Medlock been there ? Somewhere in the deepest recesses of my memory I seem to remember it not being there............was Medlock Drive inserted as and when the medlock estate was built.

Hi
Where the Medlock Estate is now, in August the fair used to be there. There was no Medlock Drive there then! I can remember this in the 50s and early 60s.

It was indeed a drinks supplier to the pub trade. My parents used them around 20 years ago for their pub. The name of the company was McKennings.

...to save you all wasting time ... i,ve often tried to buy this place ,(along with many others!) but the owner says he will not ever sell - even to an open cheque !!!!! - even though it has been unoccupied for at least 10 years ? and decaying by the day !!! - How sad is that ?
