Hiya my good friend lost her cocker spaniel Alice last week, she had to have her put to sleep due to an inoperable tumor on her face, she is as you can imagine heartbroken. She has been to rescue centers RSPCA, HAMPOLE but can't find anything suitable, I was wondering if anyone on here has any ideas for her....she is looking for a small medium sized dog who enjoys walks, car rides camping, alice went every where with her, slept on her bed, where ever kellie was alice wasnt far behind her. She has 2 boys 14 and 7, a large secure garden, and lots of love to give :) Thanks for reading.

Have you tried the breed specific rescues on rain rescue site? Or the council dog pound?

All the rescues are bursting with dogs to rehome. If you ask her to be more specific on the type of dogs she likes and age, sex etc then I am sure we can come up with some ideas.

It would be great if she could take a dog from rescue as rehoming seems to be at a standstill at the moment.

they are very affectionate - mine are sat at the bottom of my feet as i type on here. the both lay together on their beds - so loving and great with my kids 4 and 8 (who are very noisy) couldnt ask for a better natured dog

I dont think we know of many resue centers round here except rspca and hampole, she does have a car. We live in Goldthorpe, nr rotherham.
Alice was a cocker spaniel, i dont think she minds what dog it is so long as temprement was good, she has gone from a st bernard to a yorkshire terrier today lol......bless her.

Hello

I am going to close this thread and if anyone has any doggy offers please can they pm the original poster. I am closing it because people are just putting their dogs for rehoming/sale onto the end of the thread. There has been lots of good advice or where to look for a new dog :)

Thanks
