From what I can gather, it's the Belkin part of the equation causing a problem! Personally, I steer clear of Belkin wireless as a) most Belkin stuff is a rip off and b) it's generally crap.

Try re-installing the Belkin software.

If you have Windows XP, make sure you have Service Pack 2, as this has networking fixes in it.
I suggest checking the Belkin web site to make sure you have their latest driver and utility for your adaptor. Then uninstall and reinstall the utility and adaptor.

If the problem persists, disable the utility and just use Windows' Wireless Zero Configuration.

PS Belkin isn't cheap and crap at all it is aimed at the SOHO user so is well priced for that market. Most people use Belkin daily and never have a problem.

I never said it was, I said it was overpriced crap!

Although I may have been a bit harsh, I'm personally no fan and have seen many people with problems with Belkin equipment so I steer clear of it. Generally though, it's not too bad I suppose, if you like that sort of thing.

google is your friend with problems like these

here (http://forums.techguy.org/history/t-388485.html)

basically, ditch it, and use wireless zero config service that windows provides.
