I can hardly believe that it's 20 years since the Manchester air disaster, does anyone else find that it was one of those " I can remember exactly where I was" moments?

I know that I was driving and even to within a hundred yards of where I was when news of the disaster came on the radio.

I remember it well.

I had left school that year, joined the family business (June 10th), been to watch the Blades win 3-1 at Stoke (17th August) and I remember thinking what a year it was turning out to be, what with Heysel Football Stadium tragedy a few months earlier. I also think there had just been another aviation disaster; didn't a Boeing 747 come down around China killing everyone on board?

Madonna had just had her first number 1 (Into The Groove) and I still had a full set of grandparents.

Well I'm still here at the family business, but all my grandfolk have moved on.
