What's the error message? I'm guessing the attachment is a DOCX type and you don't have Office 2007?

I'll guess a very important attachment that's allegedly from a
delivery company about an un-delivered attachment, that his AV software is stopping him from downloading because it's a virus.

Flavour of the month social engineering virus wise, I've had about 3 a week.

Get OpenOffice, it's free & it'll open most Office 2007 documents, possibly with a few small formatting issues, but most of the time it's fine.

If you've got Office 2003 installed just download the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack from Microsoft here (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en), & you can open all Word, Excel & Powerpoint Office 2007 files in Office 2003 rather than having to have to arse around with Openoffice or Google docs.
