does anyone remember that great saturday morning kids show from the eighties called on the waterfront?---it starred andrew o'conner, kate copstick, bob carolgees(i think)and terry radcliffe(whatever happened to him?).
i thought it was brilliant but it never seems to get a mention when theres a programme on about 80s kids tv!
one of the highlights of the show was the casts voice overs on that crass foreign serial called the flashing blade!---it was so funny!:)
there was also a sketch featuring terry as that hartley bloke who had written a book about fly-fishing!(the original was a yellow pages advert!)
theres got to be more waterfront fans out there who can share their memories of this classic show!!
here goes-another sad thread:( :(

Didnt it have that green alien on it, which had a snot problem. i remember that there was a female presenter with massive glasses and a huge mop of curly hair

Not your imagination:

Strangely enough, though, Kate Copstick chooses not to include it in her CV:

Before Saturday Morning Television there was the Saturday Morning Matinee at the cinema....which rarely featured Marlon Brando but often featured soemthing from the Children's Film Foundation.

Parents in those far off days realised it was a MUCH smarter move to give the kids some cash and send them out of the house on Saturday morning, rather than have them hanging around the place!
