Hi! Am in the mood to get cycling again! Just got my old rusty cycle out. Any suggestions where i can service it and also get things like lock, mudguards etc?
Thanks in advance

langsett cycles on langsett road do servicing, they seem reasonable enough

Don't go to J.E. James cycles. They simply don't care.

My mate is a hard core cyclist and does serious amount of road bike and mountain bike riding [1000s of miles a year all year round]. He uses Butterworth's at hillsborough, on catch bar lane, just near netto, and Wednesday ground. The best shop he knows and the owner cannot do enough for you if you are a reasonable customer. It has changed hands a couple of times in the last few years and the current owner is superb.

The other butterworths on Abbeydale road is full of rubbish and old out of date stuff, these firms are unconnected in any way.

Halfords has only cheap kids stuff cycles, and James cycles is a complete rip off waste of time.

Langsett cycles used to be a good shop but they are a bit too expensive for some stuff.
