I just caught a bit of this race on Euro sport last night, and Alberto was looking pretty good.
Who do you reckon will be his toughest challenger in this year's Tour de France?
He's got to be a favourite, providing he's fit and well.
And how about our own Bradley Wiggins in the new Sky team? How do we rate his chances? I can see him having a good placing, possibly top three, but I don't know if he has the ability to win it. It'd be great if he did, as the Tour has never had a British winner...
Over to you...:)

Can Wiggins climb? I wouldn't know.

He didn't do too badly last year, but it was more a case of him hanging on a bit and digging deep. But he seems to be a reasonable all rounder, probably a better time trial cyclist (Not sure, I'm no expert). He did come fourth in 2009, and with a new team set up which may aid him, who knows?
It'd be great if he could do it. :)

Indeed, you don't have to be a great climber to win the Tour, but you have to be a decent one. I'm looking forward to watching the Sky team's efforts.
Have team sky been accepted for the tour then.?
Contador is probably the best tour rider around by far at the moment.!
As challenger's to his tour throne, i wouldn't count Lance out for 1 last heroic effort.
Wiggins can climb, but he now has to prove that last years tour, where to be honest he was fantastic, wasn't a one off.!
Cavandish seems to be struggling to find any sort of form at the moment, and again maybe he set such high standards at last years tour, he may be feeling the pressure this season as a marked rider. Milan Sam Remo, is on in a few days, lets hope that he can get his act together by then.!!!

They have been invited, along with 21 others. I assume it's a formality that they will accept the invitation.

Yep, heard on Radio 2 news yesterday that Sky are included in this years tour...
Do you think our local lad, Rus Downing will be in the team for the tour then.?
I'm thinking...nope, but he may have an outside chance seeing as he won a stage in the recent criterim international.!

He's listed among Team Sky's riders, but so are 25 others, and I don't remember how many riders a Tour de France team can have. I think it's only about nine.
