Are there threads where the only response you can summon is this phrase?

I just wonder if other people read something sometimes and thing that it's so misunderstood a point or gone off topic that it's not worth replying and they just think this in their head and carry on to the next topic.
Before I get flamed, I don't think that i'm excluded from having provoked this response :-) WhatEver.

"Whatever" is used too much these days, why, i have yet to decided exactly what is meant by it.

I'm too old to use 'whatever' comfortably, it doesn't seem to roll off the old neurotransmitters with ease, if you know what I mean....

I'm more yer 'For Fuh's Sake'! generation :rolleyes:

Anyone who has lived in the US (and in anyone with an American partner) will be familiar with this dismissive term. It is usually accompanied with a contemptuous sigh or a dry exasperated heave. Women are particularly good at flinging this phrase at their partners, usually reinforcing it with a look of resigned, withering contempt.
