I know you have to have a video card to be able to transfer stuff off of video on to a PC, but I'm not sure if mine already has one! How would I find out if it has?
It has a S-Video out port, which I know means that allows a monitor or tv to be hooked up to it, so I was wondering if this meant it does have some kind of video card in it.

Also, I don't know if I'm allowed to ask this, but how can I transfer dvds onto the pc? We have one programme, DVD Decrypter, but that likes to transfer the whole lot, which takes a LONG time. So I was wondering, is there another alternative?

Thanks in advance, if any one can help!!

There are alternatives, however, I don't think the mods would be too pleased at me giving instructions.

I use the unspeakable piece of software for a legitimate use, I use it to shrink the home movie DVDs I make down to 4.6Gbm(the size of a blank dvd).

Do some googling and I'm sure you'll find what you want.

Usually if your graphics card has an S-Video port that is VIVO (Video In Video Out), you get some form of capture software with it.
