Can anyone out there please help me I have tried everywhere to unlock my Nokia 6630 from UK voadafone, but no-one seems to be able to help.

Any suggetstions?

No calculators will work for the 6630 or 6680s because there is new software on these phones.

PM DaBouncer on here, he runs (or works for) a site which does unlocking for Nokia and Samsung phones.

He's an OKish kind of guy, apart from the fact he supports United and used to feud with his Science teacher (he and I were at Gleadless Valley school together in the late 80s/early 90s).

Checked his website and as usual 6630 not listed. Thanks anyway though.

Yes, from what I've read, the existing Nokia unlockers won't work on this phone - I can only presume that the network providers wanted Nokia to do this to protect their investment.

One relatively cheap way of unlocking it may be to purchase another PAYG SIM card (Orange for example) then phone Orange customer services and tell them you'd like to switch networks from Vodafone :D

Orange will probably charge you for the unlock code, but it shouldn't be more than a few tens of pounds.

Unfortunately I now live in Holland so that may be difficult.

cant be unlocked yet. They are bb5. No one has equipment yet.

you can unlock them by calling the network its locked to, i bought one on 3 netwrok, and they said theyd charge £15, but the person who the phones registered to has to call up and pay it --- not good if your buying off ebay!

Vodafone will give you the code for £19.99, just put £20 talk time on and they use that, easy peasy can be done over the fone, even putting your credit on.
