Does anyone know what was happening last night (19/08/2005) at the Beauchief Hotel?
They had a really impressive fireworks display and some kind of live band/marquee thing going on.

Dont know what was going on but I could hear the fireworks where I live in Shirecliffe. Bit too early for bonfire night isnt it.
I heard fireworks going off in S5 a night or two ago... I am currently looking to see if this coincides with a religious festival or summat.

I'm not sure, because we did have fireworks going off on the other side of Sheffield too.
Besides, people usually know when there's an Asian wedding in town because the entourage brings traffic to a standstill...

They had a really impressive fireworks display and some kind of live band/marquee thing going on. I saw it too whilst on the job, the car park was sealed, and a guy supervising. The firework was alright, but so close to the A621 ... They literally blew above the road.India and Pakistan celebrate their Independence Days around the dates of August 14 / 15th.
