WEDNESDAYITE!
The recent Owls Trust elections delivered a dramatic change in Board Members and a new Chairman. It’s an infusion of new blood through an exciting collection of individuals from different backgrounds, skills and experiences but all totally committed and all long standing Wednesdayites.
So what’s different?
The Owls Trust will soon be re-launched as Wednesdayite with a brand new look and an exciting new website at www.wednesdayite.com
We want YOU to be involved as never before!
We’re giving YOU the ability to express YOUR views.From voting on issues in a collective and democratic fashion through to deciding which good causes YOUR fundraising should go, YOU are at the heart of the new Wednesdayite.
Taking full advantage of modern technology, of new and exciting marketing and fundraising opportunities, the renamed Wednesdayite will be a lean and highly effective supporters’ organisation, run by fans for the fans, transparent in its dealings and dynamic in its approach. For a start our Board Meeting Agendas and Board Minutes will be published at www.wednesdayite.com so you can see exactly what we’re up to.
Right from the start we’ll be offering exciting new membership benefits and new initiatives.Already we’ve slashed the cost of membership to just £10 a year or you can pay £1 a month by standing order. We’ve also introduced Associate Membership to U18’s for just £5 a year.
And we want YOU as a member – the more members we have, the more we can achieve and the more influence we can exert on your behalf.
We want to appeal to all Wednesdayites out there, whatever your feelings about the past or your concerns about the future. We want an organisation that has a broad church where all Wednesdayites can come together and have real influence at this great Club of ours. As Wednesdayites we have so much to offer yet sadly we’ve remained largely ignored.We really can make a big difference to the Club we all love.
Wednesdayite aims to change the past. We want to give each and every fan a real voice and a genuine input in terms of what happens at Hillsborough. We are the lifeblood of the Club but all too often in the past our voices, our ideas and concerns have gone unheard. Together though we can bring about change, we can improve matters and together by helping ourselves we can help the Club.
Chairmen, players and managers come and go but we the fans are the one constant, the ever present through good times and bad.
That is our value and that is why we are so important.
We are the Club.
