okay - the missus has decreeded that next year (summer 2006) we shall forgo a foreign holiday and go to North Wales instead. WE are looking to go self catering (caravan or chalet) in the either Porthmadog or Barmouth areas.

Has any of you forummers been to either area in recent years and what were your thoughts on it as a tourist destination for two adults , 2 children (aged 10 + 14) who enjoy all sorts of different types of activity
