Can anyone tell me if there is a motorbike track in sheffield i really need a reply !!!!???!!!:confused:

dirt track? there was an indoor one on sheffield road en route to rotherham but im not sure if it is still there.

I heard a mate once mention a track near to Ecclesfield cop shop, a couple of years ago?

as far as i know it closed soon after a young lad died in an accident there,
last time i was "passing" i heard a bit of noise from inside,
but im not shure its re opened yet,
i think it was called "simex" or something simular,

I just want a place where i can take my motorbike down to ride every couple of weeks but i need it to be legal!!!

The place at Ecclesfield - Sim X - closed down ages ago. It's been an indoor BMX track for a while, called Wheelbase.
Held a couple of national events too. Very good.
Think it is closed for the summer, if not indefinately.

the wheel base.... is that the place that was supposed to be really good and was on the news?

No idea, but it's no good for you as it's now a bmx track.
