Does anyone know anything about this? It's supposed to be a new call centre for the council where all telephone rings are guaranteed to be answered within 4 rings and if you leave a message someone will get back to you within one working day? It sounds rather inpressive doesn't it? Just wondered if anyone had any futher information about it, like when it's likely to open etc?
If it's my local area office it's probably someone to tell me that the person I need to speak to is away on holiday or out at the moment! Believe it or not that's the usual spiel I get.
Yeah. . . I heard summat bout this. . .
The contact center on the side of the Park way (Dixons).. one of the buildings were bought by a firm called capita ... or sumthin.
And these are the people who contract out call center work, so this is where and what could be going off. . .
Anyone else heard owt???
Dixons are handing over management of their call centre to Capita as of March 7th, and they plan to use the "spare" building to expand one of their existing businesses - something to do with pensions.
Doing a news search on Capita brings up some scary stuff, which is why most people are not too keen on being basically forced into a job with them, and why you don't want them to be dealing with your council enquiries!

Capita will be no worse than Dixons...believe me
