With a packet of Fruit Pastilles for the young ones and Werthers for the OAP's!!!!!! Tomm06 08-03-2010, 18:02 Before the match, you'd get friendly banter, alot of shirters now are pretty good mates with each other when it comes to derbies. After the game is a different matter, assuming a team loses, the winning fans will want to rub it in the other faces, this will be met with a kind ''fu*k off :)'' or a kind ''you're out of the family'' or a gentle smashing of windows, cars, pubs, and just in general the whole of Sheffield :) However look at who you're greeting, the majority of shirters will have banter as said above, youg chavvies thinking they're on the set of Green Street will tell you to ''fack off you Wednesday mug!'' and the lads that usually stand at the back will have some banter, but wont be as light hearted as the shirters...or scarfers. So you like hospital food:loopy: It would never happen, lol We have crowd segregation at even the safest of games, the derby is not safe, friendly , fans are not slightly interested in offering the hand of friendship before or even after the match. Sad but true. Sad but true. Never mind what football match you go to there is always that thought in the back of your mind that your out of your own patch. The reason you feel like that is because of the rivalry between every club going never mind if it's, United, Blackpool or Wrexham. Thats one of the biggest buzz's about being away from home at a game id say m8. Extend that warm greeting for your fellow Owls, Overseas supporters would always be made welcome, and am sure the 20,000 Owls would be much more socialable than 7000 Blades. I agree Corker , when our mini bus turned up outside the Swansea home end 2 mins before kick off... there was a certain buzz!! :) eastbank 09-03-2010, 07:56 A friendly welcoming greeting of course. not a chance....if the owls are still bottom three and need to win to stay up..i will guarantee that the crowd will be a good one and very hostile towards the blades.... it is just how it is in sheffield now.....and we wouldn't want it any other way...
