last night got this message on messenger quite a few times it claims to be able to tell you whos blocked you on msn aim etc to me it sounds like very dodgy software or im i getting sceptical in my old age:loopy

You don't need that anyways...just left click on your messenger name window then click on personal settings at the bottom then click on privacy - it shows you your allow and block list..click on view and anybody who has blocked you is shown in brackets....leave the software alone..it is not required!!

Doesn't work for me... Or maybe I'm just so cool nobody has blocked me! ;)

it only shows me who i blocked on my list who got me on there list not the other way arrround.. maybe mine is broken.

Same, I think maybe Shiesh is slightly wrong here. Coem on Shiesh, come back and enlighten us as to wether this really works. I too also thought it only shows you who you have blocked and not the other way round :confused:

Microsoft took out the codings to see whether a person is blocking you or not from version 6.

There is a program called AMSN which is a messenger clone that tells you if you are on that persons address book or not. So, for instance, if they delete you from their list, you get a little symbol next to their name on your list telling you. You can still send that person a message unless they are, of course, blocking you in which case they will be shown offline.

Don't know what version mine is but it has two columns on my privacy option on the left 'my allow list' on the right 'my block list' then underneath it says 'Contact Lists..see who as added you to their contact list...View. When I click on view the list shows more or less all the people I have in my allow list but 2 people have (Blocked) in brackets at the end of their name...these 2 people are in my allow list so I assumed they had blocked me !!

Just a couple of fellas who were bad losers at backgammon recently....:hihi:

I assumed that meant they had blocked ME!!

What on earth could it mean then...:confused:
