I've searched the other forum threads but can't seem to find an answer to this. I'm getting married this July. I understand that if I book my honeymoon in my maiden name then I can take my old passport. But do I need to change my passport when I get back or can I wait until it comes up for renewal? (It doesn't run out until July 2017!)

Thanks

You can change it whenever you like, there's no legal requirement that you change it or any time frame to which you have to stick.

You can wait or if you do change it they should credit you the years that are already on it.

Indeed. You could change your driving license immediately though and not your passport, then you've the choice of two names and proof of them for the future.
