Sheffield on a Saturday in season...

"Watching the people get lairy
Is not very pretty I tell thee
Walking through town is quite scary
And not very sensible "

I love them.

Not so sure about the Killers, but I reckon they are decent enough.

Yay! Love them! Love them! Love them!

Best new band around. Franz Ferdinand have just lost their crown.

The Killers are kind of ok.

PS What is it WITH these modern bands and the German historical references? :suspect: Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser (Chiefs)?

The Kaiser Chiefs are a football team in South Africa (Lucas Radebe used to play for them - hence the Leeds connection).

I love them both - saw the Killers at Glastonbury and heard rumours that they were Mormons - they were all suited and booted and from Neveda (but not Utah). Bit sick of Hot Stuff now, but I hear that they are starting on a new album

Missed the Kaiser Chiefs but will be off to see them at the earliest opportunity.

Now tell me what you all think about Razorlight. Is it possible to like a band even though you think the singer is a complete idiot?

I like them both. At least theyre not trying to be another Coldplay (like we really need another set of whining talentless ***** in the charts).

kaiser chiefs have 3 great songs on their album....all have been released...the rest of the album is v.poor. but people have heard the best and assume them to be amazing....maybe next album will be more consistant. have to see.

Both 'Employment' and 'Hot Fuss' are good albums by Kaiser Chiefs and The Killers respectively.

Great talent from 2004.

'Up All Night' is a brilliant album, infact there is only one track - To The Sea that I can fault.

RE: The Killers - tracks one, two, seven and eight are my personal favourites; The Kaiser Chiefs - haven't heard their album enough to comment on favourite track.

Another great album from 2004 is 'Welcome To The North' from The Music.

can't believe comments that the kaiser chiefs have poor songs on their cd!?:o
their songs reflect different moods.saw them on vh2 last nite commenting on the background 2 some of their songs!PREDICT A RIOT was written about travelling thru Leeds at 2.30am on a sunday morning but everyone links it to their own town ,don't they??!
and tell me more about the Killers being Mormons!??

Well, it was just a rumour I heard - but look at this - although he seems to hate them:

Kaiser Chiefs played the Ledmill a few months back, whole album is very good in my opinion.
