It's like a Spielberg film - the sound of children playing on the streets slowly fades out, theres only one dog barking in the distance somewhere and a gate slowly creaks open and shut in the light wind.

Everything goes dark and silent and then . . . . .. BOOM!

Twister, War of the Worlds, Jurassic Park etc . . . :hihi:

Certainly looks that way, massive weather front moving over the country from the West.

I'm keeping an eye on here.. I need to get my washing in when it starts raining. I'm more likely to notice somebody observing it on here than actually looking outside >_<

Still waiting . . . . . . . :suspect:

Still dark . . . . . ... :suspect:

The floodlights on the Fir Vale Football pitch have come on though and sort of ruined the atmosphere. I might nip out and plug a wire from them into my car starter motor and it'll kill the lights and start up my car for good!

2 birds with one stone:thumbsup: ...... brains eh?:heyhey:

For some bizaare reason Gell Street attracts boy racers all night long... most of 'em driving ancient ford fiesta's with speakers on the bottom to create a exhaust like sound.

At least I don't live right on Gell Street, think I'd kill myself >_<

ANYWAY, where is this storm?! I'm getting excited

I've quit Hook, otherwise I'd be having one too mate - been almost 2 weeks now. . . . I'm sure alot of the other forummers will tell you this is good for me, my last few attempts to stop have been pitiful.

Anyway, back to the storm - shall we try a synchronised rain dance??

I can't believe this website has come to this.

Old women talk about the weather at bus stops.

You lot should go and join em!

I'm gonna pack in this computer lark.

Too many people with posts like :

"ooh the police helicopter just flew over" or

"ooh what was that noise last night down road" or

"Suspicious man just walked past our house"

I might start one :

" I just farted on our lass . . . " or

" Me feet stink and I hope it dunt rain"

Such crap posts

Need do summat more interesting me thinks.

We'll be happier without you LOL.

Ever wondered why the posts have TITLES? Thats so you can CHOOSE to read about what interests YOU.. and choose not to read what doesn't. Its quite simple my dear.

Sorry people.

I'm feeling mischievous.

I will leave you watch the skies for lightning for the rest of the night and hope that it does so you can type about it.

Good luck

I'm gonna bed! :-)

I have a feeling it is going to miss us Anne. It felt very heavy earlier on in the Stocksbridge area. We have had some rain but all is quiet now. I hope it pours down all night because my garden is in need of it........specially my runner beans!

Pipine

Yes, my garden need a good soaking.. but the roof I was tiling today doesn't need a downpour as its still only 2/3rds tiled! LOL!

Find out where the lightning is...

w*ww.upminsterweather.co.uk/test/live_lightning.htm

Just cut and paste this URL into your address box (remove the asterisk from the "WWW" bit before you hit GO!), and it will give you a map and data on all lightning strikes for most of the UK, the Low Countries, and France.

It was horrible last night!!! I went out for a few drinks and got rained off... Had to run home in a pair of pink stilleto heels so that I didn't get drenched

This morning its ever so dull and drab, but looking out of the window, the sky looks a lovely light blue colour... If only the sun would come out!
