Well some of you will remember me wanting a upgrade my processor a while ago, well i finally got the cash and ordered a amd athlon xp3000+ from my old 2400+
but my computer only recognises it as a 2200+ :confused:
any ideas guys?

You might need a BIOS flash to get it to see the new processor, or it might be a case that you need to manually set the FSB and Multiplier in the BIOS.

ok.. i flashed my bios just before i put the chip in, do i need to do it again?
i dont know what to set the FSB and multiplier to.. :confused: any more help?
What core is the chip? the "codename" as it were, any idea?
