View Full Version : How would you cope ? (if given a choice)
I read in The Times that the medication I am on, could make me addicted to Food, Gambling or Sex.
It is a fact that some people on tthe same medication have gambled their life savings away, And I know, never having gambled before I will more readily splash out now.
I'm still waiting to run away with the milkman, (a bit unfortunate because we use the Supermarket).
But food I crave, chocolate especially.

Being addicted to sex isn't bad at all, and food cos hopefully you can have enough sex to burn off the extra calories!! Sorted, fun times and lots of nice food.
Just avoid casinos and gambling websites, should be fine. :hihi:
You make it sound so good, almost worth taking the tabbies.

Do you mean by this that you get to chose one of these three things to be addicted to?
The fact that you are already aware of the problems the Meds could cause will surely act as the warning to you, so that any changes in your behaviour are noticed fairly quickly by either you or those close to you.
Should you feel the need to go on a gambling spree just give me a ring and I will get the milkman to pop around and see if he can help you to kill two birds with one stone ;) Now get back to cooking the Dinner :D

why those 3 specific things, not basket weaving, pottery and scuba diving ?
Very apt, I almost feel grateful for the meds.
Ken's the cook of the family I'm just there for decoration.
Because Nick---the medication affect the part of the brain to do with pleasure.
hazel
Exactly pleasure, wheres the problem? just make sure people around you can keep an eye on you, make sure you are under control. Better side effects than most medication!!!! like Nicks suggestion:o boring

So you could get addicted to anything that gives you pleasure ?
Well these are the 3 things mentioned,
I don't know about gambling but the other 2 are basic built in instincts, which substain and perpetuate life.
I suppose the pleasure is added so we ontinue the species .

marycrookes 18-08-2005, 17:52 Ok then Hazel, how come you get all the fun??
Kristian 18-08-2005, 18:04 I could only pop my two-penneth in here if the question was 'How do you cope'! :D
Good luck Hazel, just don't try all three at once. A lot of the big casinos ask you to leave if you get chocolate body paint on the roulette wheel! ;) :D
