I spoke French very well up until a couple of years ago (got a high A at A-level), but I'm 20 now and have been out of practice since I left school at 18! I'd rather not forget everything I learnt and let it go to waste, I used to enjoy it.

I think your idea is a good one. What is your situation? Are you French, or study the language (or none of the above?).

Ditto. I got A levels in French and German but now can only remember bizarre and useless things like asking for various ice creams. I'm 23 though, so it has been five years.

Someone started a thread about this ages ago and it never got anywhere. Obvious the British are still defiantly determined to speak English and nowt else...!
