dark-blue
well i visited sheffield last week and loved the colour of the flower displays
The buffer woman by the town hall looks lovely!!!
I want everyone in town to STOP
STAND FOR A MOMENT
AND LOOK AT THE FLOWERS
CAN YOU ALL DO THAT FOR ME AT LUNCHTIME????
I was only thinking this yesterday as I walked around town though I've often thought it. No wonder we are representing Britain in the European Cities in Bloom thingie bob :D
Its beautiful, all the flowers everywhere are stunning. Wish my hanging basket looked like those  :D

I gotta say, Sheffield in bloom is very nice, huge flower pots and flower displays everywhere accross town !
I wish it were a regular feature rather than just for the puupose of a competition.
Perhaps also more green areas in the city centre would be bice, like somewhere next to the town hall :suspect: ?
I was in the city centre on Monday. You know the man made of flowers standing beside the buffer girl? Somebody had shoved an empty soft drinks bottle up his....
pretty AND funny...what more do you want from a city...
(it was very funny)
Yes she is. Wouldn't live anywhere else in the UK. Been here some 23 years now. Married a Sheffielder and have 3 sons all born here.
I've an old council booklety type of thing from 1959 in which the introduction by the Mayor at the time states that Sheffield is definately a 'she'. I agree.
Love the way Sheffield isn't an 'it', she has life in her.

i agree, sheffield is looking alot better thesedays.
grass gets cut and flower beds appearing, after years of neglect through eighties and nineties.
