Sheffield-on-Sea – a weekend of family holiday fun - takes place in Sheffield City Centre from 10am – 5pm, Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 August. Free entry.

Sheffield Wildlife Trust will be making miniature beach gardens in small seed trays and clay sea creatures. We will also be selling merchandise and membership, come & visit our stand at Tudor Sq & support us Tudor Square is the grassy section in front of the Winter Gardens, near the Crucible theatre


The Peace Gardens will be transformed into a 900sq foot sandy beach complete with sand, deck chairs, buckets and spades. There will be all you would expect at the seaside including donkey rides, brass band, puppet show, ice cream, and even special Sheffield Rock.

Themed seaside activity will also spread to other areas of the City Centre including Fargate (‘The Pier’) and Tudor Square (‘The Prom’). There also a special summer craft market on Fargate. And what’s more you can even enjoy a ride on a land train between the ‘beach’ and the ‘prom’!

Fun on the beach (Peace Gardens):
