I dream in CMYK. (with separations processed).

I do dream in part RGB and part mono when I'm poorly and its also part realtime images and part cartoon - a bit like Oliver Stone's film 'Natural Born Killers'.

Oh and John - you haven't voted!

I do colour and also lucid dreaming where I can often actually be in control rather than subject to my dreams - like being conscious whilst asleep.

My dreams are that real, that I don't actually know if they've happened or not!?

The past 3 months I haven't got more than around 5 hours sleep a night and haven't been dreaming.... this week whilst off work I have been sleeping longer and had some VERY weird dreams - all in colour. Quite glad to wake up after them.

Thankfully I've got work again next week so I'll go back to normal sleeping and no dreams at night - just during the day when I should be working :o)

Technicolour MADNESS!

Like living in a Dali painting - maybe too much cheese in my diet? :loopy:

Black + white dreams, nah...clearly my subconscious is not classy enough for film noir.
Bang the set before going to bed

Lucid dreaming is a very complex state of mind, have you achieved it yourself?? I have yet only a few times, still working on it...Americans invented glasses you wear in your sleep that let off a series of beeps which in turn lets you know you're dreaming whilst asleep and helps you enter a lucid dream...how mad is that...Stateside will think up anything:loopy:

Yup all by myself, but I read about those glasses when i googled it.

Technically the answer is neither, because when you're asleep you're not actually looking at anything.

I dream in colour. I don't think I've ever dreamt in black and white, but sometimes I can't remember my dreams, so I might have done.

I've managed to wake myself up when having horrible dreams. It's really weird but I tell myself in the dream to wake up because it's just a dream. I've managed to do it a couple of times.

Anyone else dreamt falling over either forward or backward and end up waking up?

I heard that this is caused by your heart beat slowing down so much that you nearly die... and since your brain doesn't want you to die, it sends an electric current (or something) through your body to wake you up and get your heart beating again. That's what wakes you up.

:o

It's true that if you die in a dream, you'll die in real life.

You lucid folks may find this site interesting...

Lucid Dreaming Website (http://www.xs4all.nl/~pasquale/TTM/1/index.html)

I've been lucid dreaming on & off for some time now...

One of the cool things you can do to check that you're dreaming is to look down at your hands and check out how many fingers you've got - you'll find it's not what you expect and bingo! you realise you're dreaming...

The next stage is to make sure you stay in the dream long enough to have some fun (flying around, playing with the other characters in your dream etc...)

One sure way to deepen the lucid dream is to spin round very fast on the spot and when you stop you'll be in another dream scene where you can carry on the fun!

Way cool and worth persevering with...

p.s. many people lucid dream regularly, quite naturally without even realising it's so uncommon!

That site is really cool. Interesting that light switches don't work in dreams, I'm definately going to be trying that tonight (if I remember that is).

Embarrasingly when I was young I used to have dreams about using the toilet. You can only guess the outcome after I really had awoken...

Last night I dreamt that I drove to a wedding in a bright red car wearing a bright yellow dress. Quite a vivid dream. But when I got there it was a funeral and everyone was looking at me in this yellow dress. Mum was there and she was also wearing yellow???? Figure that out?? Yellow, I never wear yellow! My car is black!

Funke88

have you seen Kill Bill?

Reckon your unconscious mind is trying to tell you something?

If you take the time to contemplate it, think laterally I reckon you'll be able to relate that dream to something going on for you...

Remember - think really wild lateral symbolic stuff... see what you come up with - it'll probably be very personal though :)

Last night I dreamt of Manderley

Ooops.......wrong thread

I always dream in colour

Last night I dreamt that I was at some fashionable event with lots of young people, mainly women I think, when we heard that the Pope had died. It turned out the guests were all Roman Catholics and were then all distraught, and I, not being a catholic, was concerned to observe them but not in a position to help anyone.

Then I remembered that the Pope was a woman, a little old woman with white hair right enough, but a woman

When I woke up I thought

WOW

and then I thought, I hope the Pope doesnt die today that would be very scary

Well I was going to start a new thread but this one suggested itself.

I dream in colour but I also dream visually in pictures. I can describe the people in my dreams, what they look like, what they are wearing.

My partner can't, which I find odd. She dreams in thoughts and so cannot describe the appearance of things in her dreams.

I thought everyone dreamed like me, in full colour, full surround sound, the full horror of nasty nightmares and the full delight of mucky dreams.

In colour and when I wake I remember what I have been dreaming. I also know that I am dreaming when I am dreaming - which is annoying at times cos means I cannot just sit back and enjoy - so to speak. And light switches and other such things do work properly in my dreams so do not know what that is all about - other than most people do not really pay attention to such small details.

If I go into a dark room in a dream I turn on the light by flipping the light switch. This has been known to result in me waking up to find my bedside lamp on but not often.

I'm a bit like your partner taxman, I dream in thoughts, sometimes they get quite abstracted too .... years ago I had several dreams of soaring/flying - I really wish I still did - it was a wonderful sensation I'd like to repeat :)

I dream in another language, usually Japanese - although I cannot speak Japanese, so it could be Madarin, Korean - anything! Anyway, I really don't understand my dreams! I wish I slept with Oriental women so I could understand what I dreamed.

Interesting...I don't think I dream in colours but I have been told I speak fluent German in my sleep (by various partners) although I only speak VERY little German consciously. While I speak German in my sleep I can never recall dreaming the previous evening.

I always dream in colour, but I do suffer from bad dreams. I once hit my then Husband, I was devastated but I was being attacked in my dream at the time (not by him but by a stranger).

Think I suffer from bad dreams because I whittle about things unnecessarily but I can't help it its just the way I am.
