Nothing less than 3 points will do.
Gotta beat the rubbish teams and only hope we do it for our sakes and not the owls, let them do their own worrying without having to rely on other clubs beating teams for them to help them stay up.

Sheffield Wednesday have found investers to invest in the club. but they want to see out the rest of the season to see how they do. If they get religated they are not investing. if they stay in the championship they are. Abit of pressure on the owls.

But... personally I think weve got a massive job on to get into the playoffs.

Corker we saw that it had been pulled, but do you still stand by that post?

Re the Plymouth match is one we should win, but at 4/7 i will not be betting on it.

i guess this article is from the star? according to the article they are investing either way however if we are relegated it will effect the amount, obviously less income in league 1 so wont be willing to pay as much as if we are in the championship.

think utd will win 2-0

It's nowt but talk David, no more than another excuse for a deadline missed.
People on here have been saying all along that no one would invest money not knowing which league you would be in. Only strafford said different but now march is here he has had to back pedal.
Anyway David best to leave that subject on the back burner and stick to the thread topic.

Blades win 2-0.

i know it could be talk but i was correcting the other poster when he said they won't invest if we go down, it didn't say that. said it before i don't really care to much anyway about investment, when it happens it happens.
can't see you guys slipping up tomorrow but i have thought that about other games of yours:hihi:

It's a bit annoying though if investors are 'in the wings' that they're waiting to see how it goes first? If they were that convinced the club is going places, then surely it would help a lot if they came in now and pledged their backing, rather than waiting to see where you are (which makes them look more like opportunists?).

Still it could be worse, you could've had one of the many 'mega-rich' owners that have arrived at Notts County or Pompey - it's not done them too many favours has it!

blades hopefully to win 3-0... probably 0-0 though...

enjoyed the game today, blackwell picked a side that in my mind was the best he had to choose from, bunn didn't have much to do but made a right hash of the few times he was called upon, morgs and nodsworthy kept getting under each others feet and at times there were too many scrappy moments and fancy flicks when we were crying out for the simple ball to feet, none of this was blackwells fault neither was it down to him we nearly chucked it away.

all in all some edge of the seat stuff, good passing and 4 very good goals.

onwards and upwards eh

Bunn was poor , in a unproven defence we need a strong goalkeeper to take command, he cant, the first half we tried to play footy on the ground and took the goals well, the second half , well Plymouth steped up a gear and we went into reverse! balls going no where and panic set in.

Still an entertaining game, one proven by the fact i stayed for the full 95mins.

A final mention should go to the ref..weak and very poor but to both sides.

enjoyed the first half today, we played some good stuff on the floor most of the time. Then in the second half it was rushed and playing hoofball to Cressy.
Thanks to their keeper for that present given to Cresswell, he must be gutted tonight.
Agree about Bunn, please bring back Bennett, I would say Bunn was at fault for two goals

if the plymouth keeper appears on a footie howlers dvd , will they have to pay him royalties?if they do then its worth 'dropping one' now and again

Was in the Sportsman for our first 2 goals and for their last goal :)

Oh well, should have known better, Plymouth at home wasn't getting my excitment levels up but will know better next time.

We played well at times, Cresswell's goal has to be one of the cheekiest I have ever seen, I have not laughed so much in ages.

All United's goals were well taken, but the rate at which we suddenly started letting goals in was alarming. I'll let Morgs off as it was his first game back, Nosworthy played some great passes down the flanks but also seemed to be clueless at times, Bartley was exposed badly for being inexperienced, he really had a shocking game and Kallio was awful at times.

Ward was great, Cresswell keeps going, Camara, Yeates and Williamson all had decent games, Monty would be good if he just sticks to tackling and nothing else.

Just wish Ched would start scoring.......!

Finally, can't wait for wamer weather, freezing walking home last night!

I thought number 6 on this little list would take some beating but a yesterday takes the biscuit.

Real edgy stuff yesterday..not that I can say I enjoyed it one bit after their 3rd sank in..

Cresswell had a good game, when the balls played to his feet he can run off it well. Same with Camara, theyre both not made for these rushed long balls upfield...maybe Henderson would deal better with options like that.

Wardy was fantastic I think, had a really good game, and turn rings round their Full Backs.

Kallio was simply shocking. Only at 4-3 did he finally get a foot in, and produce a decent tackle. The 3rd Plymouth goal, Kallio was nowhere to be seen, wasn't covering his man, and wasn't in the box either..just too easy. Monty bailed him out at least 5 or 6 times I saw in the first half, simply because he wasn't working hard enough. You can't walk over anybody in this league, you have to fight for every win, and Kallio just doesn't have that in him.

What posistion did Jamie Ward play yesterday, did he play on the wing or did he get a chance up front?

marmite
28-02-2010, 18:07
He was on the wing...but saying that he was everywhere.
Much like Nick Montgomery, sometimes aimlessly running around but seemed to pay off anyway.
I think Monty was ok, was a great laugh watching him with my dad, who hasn't had many chances to watch this season...he said 'I see Montys passing hasn't improved then'
You can't fault the lad though, he's got a big heart, and he's a blade through and through

Can't fault Ward then scoring 2 from off the wing, it makes you think weather Blackwell should give him a crack of the whip up front?

I think if he went up front, we'd see more of how he was against Bristol. Long punts towards goal to no avail. Out wide he can do what he does best, which is take players on, whip crosses in and support the god awful defence.
He's always going to be a player who lurches around the edge of the 6yard box on set pieces, and as he showed yesterday, get a foot in and score goals.

Too true Corks! I don't think he's in the starting 11 for the blades, or even on the teamsheet! I can't remember!!
