Reading (4/5) v Sheffield Wednesday (4/1) DRAW (12/5)
If theres a contendor for a six pointer this game takes the biscuit,
Reading apart from there stumble against Blackpool last weekend have started
to put there foot on the gas results wise, before the setback against the seasiders
they had scored 10 goals in 5 games winning 4 and earning a very commendable draw
against promotion chasing West Brom.
Reading are a dangerous side at the moment and will be a tough nut to crack at
the Majeski.
Sheffield Wednesday on the other hand, after a great start under new boss Alan Irvine
have started to show cracks, skipper Darren Purse has been ruled out for up to three
weeks with a hamstring injury, and they missed him against Ipswich.
The Owls have started to struggle in front of goal also and have only managed 5 goals in
there last 6 games, just to note three of those games were against teams in the bottom 5.
PREDICTION 2-1
Barnsley (11/8) v Blackpool (2/1) DRAW (9/4)
Barnsley have a decent side down at Oakwell and have showed a real thirst to succeed
under Mark Robins, the ex Rotherham boss is doing a terrific job
and he deserves all the credit he is getting.
Although the results have been up and down for the reds recently they still have a
serious chance of reaching the play offs this season.
They know where the onion bag is having scored 10 goals in there last 6 games,
the downside is they are very inconsistent, having won 3 and lost 3 of there
last half a dozen games.
Blackpool had a decent result at the weekend against an much improving Reading side.
Ian Hollaways men have been an insipration this season under massive constraints,
and are one of the success stories of the season in the Championship.
After a rocky spell seeing them losing three games on the bounce at the end of
January and the beginning of february, they have started to show the form
what the Tangerine fans know there capapble of, sweeping both Reading
and Middlesborough aside in there last two games, two clubs which were
Premiership outfits not so long ago, the latter only last season of cause.
Blackpool have scored 7 goals in there last 6 games, but have also conceded 7 aswell
which must be a slight concern.
PREDICTION 1-1
