Obviously it's done with a sitebuilder (it only took a couple of hours).
i knocked this together as a favour for a 1 woman rescue in London.

Any constructive criticism - bearing in mind i'm within the constraints of a freebie build and a person who makes me look like a geek.

Do you mean the Sheffield Dog Rescue one in your signature?

It looks great - very simple, clear and easy to navigate. I like the way you can see thumbnails of the dogs then zzom in.

My only suggestion is that the phone number and address aren't on the site - it asks for walking volunteers but doesn't say where they are based.

:)

Oh darn forgot the link - added it now. Surprisingly the Sheffield one is designer built and hosted, glad they got better value than on mine.

The SDR site was kindly made for us by JoeP who used to be a member/mod on here. The lack of info on contact was deliberate as the kennels that our dogs are housed are a seperate boarding kennels business, who we rent from. We are not allowed to have visitors just turning up without an appointment. There is a contact email facility on the website to enable us to give out the info regarding contact.;)

I like the golden oldies site Willman I would have more info on the front page about when it was set up and a bit about the reasons for setting up etc or are you doing an "about us" page, if so forget that!

If i could the bloody woman to contact me i'd probably know more myself :hihi:
I just kept dabbling with it, once i'd got a template. I've even set up emails and paypal for her.
I built it based on "normal" rescues then it turns out she's pussy stroker and had to redo the text and picture header removing all the doggie stuff.

We are always actively looking for volunteers to help rehome, homecheck and transport needy animals, this if often the first experience some animals have of care and affection - we don't think it should be their last.
...typo

We do not provide or source animals or pets on demand. What we can offer you is the opportunity to provide a warm, loving and comfortable homefor one (or maybe more)pet, that through no fault of its own has found itself abandoned and needy. We carry out a painless but necessary homecheck before any decisions are made to rehome a pet.
...spaces.

Make the text font the same colour, style and size on all the pages.

Stick a few pictures on the album page.

Otherwise looks good :)

And perhaps a links page to other organisations and offer to link their site with yours in return for a link on their site to yours. :)

Im in love with that Dalmation on the sheffield dog rescue link :(

The website looks nice, minimalistic and simple which makes it easier to see where your going and what your doing.

I've asked the one woman rescue to send pictures of the moggies she's helped or helping, plus she's furnishing me with referral links and more personal details that i'm not aware of.
It's not a professional job but if it gets some hits and possible donations for her i'll be happy and give her a web face.
