For those of us that travel to work on a bus,do you always sit in the same seat.

Its a bit of a compulsive disorder I think, all the people that get on before me and after me that are regulars sit in the same seat they always do.
When somone else was in one of the womans seats today she gave them such a look.

Does anyone else always go to the same seat.

Not always the same seat but I do tend to sit towards the front of the bus more often than not.

I sit at the back, no idea why unless its cause I am little in height.

its coz your a bad one! all the naughty people sit at the back ;)

i have a big plan about where i sit!!, im compulsive disorder at its best...if its sunny i judge where the sun will be and sit at the corresponding side....BUT...if i have a minidisc on that im unsure of the content and i may need to skip tracks i sit on the right side..because my minidisc is in my right pocket (are you following this?) i do this because i look like im going to cop a feel of the person next to me when i try to fiddle with my minidisc and its next to there leg.

:| oh nurse!

Well I suppose I am naughty at times.

Dont you hate it when the sun moves and your sat directly in it and the bus is full and you cant move.

In the morning, I'll sit wherever there is an available seat!

I live midway through the bus route, so I'm lucky to even get a seat sometimes.

I'm sure I'm old enough that some cheeky young whippersnapper should give up their seat for me.

Mind you, they'd probably get a thick ear if they tried

I always sit near the back cos I'm a bad boy!

I usually sit on the 4 seats that face eachother if i'm on a first bus, but mostly for the leg room.

I don't get the bus now, it's to expensive.
But I always used to sit next to the seat the next crazy person would occupy.

I would rather pay £6 for a taxi then get a bus. Last time I went for the bus, it was due at 6.35 and didn't come untill only god knows when because when it got to 7.20 I went back home... and it wasn't just a one off the same bus always seems to be missing.

I just sit there with my iPod listening to my playlist - usually upstairs, by the stairs.

I sit on the first empty seat. But I only travel 4 stops.

I usually have Brude in tow if I'm getting a bus, so it has to be downstairs, then about half way back.

If we sat at the front, everybody getting on would have to be greeted and sniffed

If we sat at the back, everybody would have to be said goodbye to as we tried to get off :suspect:

Half way back is nusiance limitation - although the lady infornt of us last Thursday had to mave her shopping coz beagle noses just fit between the gap in the seat when they're hunting raw beef :hihi: (she didn't mind ;) )

I’m usually sat with my elbow in the pool of water on the windowsill, which I take a while to notice because I'm half asleep

Or next to some nice old man, who after about 10 seconds of sitting down, I notice reeks of wee :gag:

Now I get up late, stroll to my car and drive in, in complete relative luxury.

I HATE BUSES!

LOL i'm with you on that one!

I always seem to get into an annoying situ with the older peeps refusing to accept my seat when i offer it to them and then struggling to stay upright as the driver drives far too fast, then everyone on the bus who didn't see me offer my seat gives me the evils all the way home!

Oh well, suppose i'll do the same when i get to their age, if only to annoy the young folk like i'm sure they do, hee hee, come to think of it good on them, it must be pretty amusing watching me sit there squirming with awkwardness and if i can make there journey a bit more fun i'm happy to oblige!

I choose near the front out of the sun but can never work out where the sun will be when we turn the corners.

I once went to a lecture and the lecturer told us he could tell what sort of person we were by our seat choice and he was spot on with me.
Middle to back at the side and sitting apart.
He said that told him I was not going to take part until I was sure.
Anyone under his nose was going to be demanding and the back seats were trouble.
I had a friend at the time who used to drag me to the front , I felt most uncomfortable.

I tend to always try and pick the seats over the back wheel. They seem to have a bit more leg room than the other seats (older buses).

I hate it when those seats are taken though, coz I then sit somewhere else and have to have my legs quite far apart in order to fit in the seat. Which leads to no-one sitting next to me coz there's not enough room and when it's a full bus, just makes me feel bad...
It also really hurts my knees, I'm sure I could sue for walking problems I'm gonna have in the future!!

As there are roughly 4 types of buses in sheffield, I have a regular seat on either of them.
- Double Decker: top Floor, front row, left side.
- New square Single Decker: first raised seat, right side, next to button and full window.
- New round loud Single Decker: Anywhere away from the roaring engine.
- Old single decker: mid bus, left side, next to button and full window.

Now I have a car, so bubs lane driving off peak, no 20 minute wait for a bus to town, no 10 quid a week bus pass :)

If I'm on my own I tend to sit near the front but not right at the front as it's always my luck that and old person gets on then I end up standing all the way.

Apart from that I sit anywhere. I'm rarely going far so don't tend to bother with the top floor of double deckers.

GOD! I thought I was alone.

I have to sit (First Mainline single deckers) 2nd row after the pushchair/wheelchair access on the left hand side, facing windowscreen. And I have to have window seat. Also recently I have to sit the one behind the driver on the way to work. You should see my disgust if an elderly person gets in and I have to give my seat up for them, which is also compulsary for me.

LOL I'm a freak!

Nobody has given up their seat for me so I'm hoping it's because I don't look old.

hazel
Perhaps it's because I get on first.

This is exactly where I've always preferred to sit in a lecture, or at the cinema. I'll always try to sit at the end of a row, somewhere around the middle of the room.

I think it's so I can make a quick exit! :D
